The IU Seal

The official IU seal is the university’s most formal mark. Its use is limited to ceremonial occasions and administrative communications. While the mark is not meant to be used on every day marketing materials, elements of the seal create the foundation for IU’s graphic element system.

$description

The Indiana University seal is reserved for officially sanctioned uses: executive level (vice president and above) stationery; legal and official documents such as diplomas and transcripts; formal academic ceremonies; and permanent building insignias.

Use your official signature—not the seal

If you are creating formal materials that do not meet the guidelines above, use your unit's official signature.
