Studying here gives me a lot of experience and opportunities to figure out what I want to do as far as my career. I’ve also found my people on campus and gotten involved with different organizations, especially those focused on the Black student community.

Housing and dining options
You’ll have a range of campus residence options, including traditional residence halls, townhomes, and apartment-style communities. There are also several additional housing options close to campus. Affordable meal plans offer convenient, accessible on-campus dining from 17 locations.

Student clubs and organizations for 500+ interests
Make friends, explore new interests and learn skills that will help you succeed by joining one or more student organizations. You can choose among clubs and organizations that align with academics, special interests, political and social awareness, religious affiliations, sports and recreation, and much more. Don’t see your favorite hobby or activity represented? It’s easy to start a new student organization, as well.

Diversity is at the core of our culture.
We’re dedicated to ensuring that all members of the campus community have the resources and support to be successful. The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and several student organizations work to create and sustain a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable campus climate. The Multicultural Center also has events and programming that celebrate different cultures and perspectives.
Our campus has also won the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT into Diversity magazine for 12 years in a row.

The thrill of Jaguar athletics

Get involved with Jaguar traditions and events
From Weeks of Welcome at the beginning of both fall and spring semesters to Jagathon (our dance marathon benefiting Riley Hospital for Children), the annual Regatta canoe race and festival, and Jagapaloooza (our year-end campus carnival), you’ll find plenty of Jaguar events to keep you busy throughout the year.

Right from day one at IUPUI, I was able to get a job. I was able to get involved with the dance marathon here and get my job as an ambassador. I would say everyone has been so welcoming and so friendly, and I had a lot of opportunities just right from the get-go during Weeks of Welcome. I was able to step out of my comfort zone.
