After your website is approved

Once you've submitted your website for review and you've received approval, use the information here for your next steps.

Step 1: Hosting

You'll need to decide where your website is hosted. IU has free hosting options that you can request. If you are using a departmental or non-IU server, skip this step.

Step 2: Web Framework site copy (optional)

Most public-facing IU websites use the Web Framework, which leverages the university's enterprise web content management system (WCMS). It contains all the bulding blocks you need to create your website.

Step 3: Once your site is built and published to test

Before your website can go live, there are additional steps you need to take.

Step 4: Website URL

If you don't already have one, you'll also need to request the URL your website will use. Anything on an IU domain is managed through the university and can be requested for free.

Step 5: Enabling production

The hosting for your site only has test enabled until you complete the steps above. Once they're done, you'll need to request that your site gets enabled on production.
