Kelley School of Business reaches new heights
We are in constant pursuit of our core missions of ensuring student success, hitting ambitious research goals and affirming our leadership role in advancing economic development and quality of life for individuals throughout the world.
Tracking our progress on those vital objectives takes many forms, and while rankings aren’t the most important indicator, we admittedly appreciate when we are recognized as outstanding among our peers.
The U.S. News and World Report rankings have just been released, and the Kelley School of Business has returned to the highest position it has ever received in this important ranking for undergraduate business programs. Please join me in congratulating Dean Idie Kesner and our tremendous Kelley School faculty and staff.
As a top ten undergraduate business program, Kelley is ranked eighth overall and fourth among public institutions. Ten specialty programs within Kelley are in the top 20 of their areas, with eight of those in the top ten.
These achievements illustrate why the Kelley School has a reputation for excellence and its students stand out when they graduate from IU.
In additional news about the rankings, there is even more to celebrate, including IU Bloomington's upward momentum in reaching 26th among public universities, IUPUI's ranking 21st in a tie for service learning, and both campuses earning top 25 rankings in "Programs to Look For."
While any ranking is only one measurement tool and does not reflect all of the incredible work of the faculty, staff, and students at IU, seeing Indiana University stand out in this evaluation of the higher education landscape is a good time to pause and reflect on our purpose.
These accomplishments should fill us all with pride for IU and be a positive signal of what our university's future holds when we remain committed to our mission.
