Empowering students with new student success platform

With student success at the center of our IU 2030 strategic plan, we’ve challenged ourselves to think about the student experience in new ways. We’ve also asked how we could create a new, single point of access for students to chart their own IU journey, track their academic progress, and access personalized support.

Thanks to the innovative spirit across IU, we are doing just that.

In fall 2024, we will launch one of the nation’s most comprehensive online student success platforms with technology partner Stellic. Together, we will streamline existing IU technology and consolidate multiple current processes, making it much easier and faster for our nearly 90,000 students to register for classes, design their futures at IU, understand and explore various academic pathways, and make smart academic choices that keep them on track for graduation—all through a single, mobile-friendly interface.

This new tool will also empower students and their advisors to link academic and co-curricular experiences, while equipping faculty and staff to more quickly support students who are at risk of falling behind. While the platform will launch in fall 2024, implementation efforts will begin immediately.

Our new student-centered technology will complement many other initiatives already underway to advance student success.

From the Bridge Week program on our Indianapolis campus to the expansion of IU’s robust Groups Scholars Program across all regional campuses, IU continues to strengthen student support. We are also creating new student opportunities by expanding in-demand degree programs like the new computer science program in Indianapolis, while showcasing the power of student mentoring through programs like  Titans Mentoring Titans at IU South Bend or the O’Neill School’s student mentoring program.

Taken together, the many student success initiatives being implemented across IU are driving progress toward our IU 2030 goals. Led by our dedicated staff and faculty, these efforts represent our unmatched focus on creating transformational student experiences that prepare our students for academic and career success—at IU and beyond.
