Fatimah earned her M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Mathematics Education from Texas Tech University. Prior to starting her graduate studies in the United States, she worked for four years as a high school mathematics teacher in her home country of Kuwait. She taught mathematics for the 10th and 11th grades, and statistics for the 12th grade. In her master studies, Fatimah investigated 8th grade Kuwaiti students’ mathematical abilities on standardized assessments, along with examining Kuwaiti mathematics curriculum. As a doctoral student in Indiana University, Fatimah plans to minor in Inquiry Methodology and is exploring interests in mathematics education.
