Our brand type

The IU brand leverages two core typefaces as part of our visual language system. Benton Sans is our primary typeface and is a prevalent design thread relied upon throughout our marketing. Our secondary, and often supportive, typeface is Georgia Pro.

Look to these fonts first

We use our core brand fonts to not only deliver our message, but to identify our brand in a memorable and consistent way. These type choices reflect our brand’s personality, and can be used to tackle most of your marketing and communications needs.

The Benton Sans Regular typeface is visualized using capital and sentence case letters A to Z, as well as numbers 0 to 9.

The Benton Sans family

Perhaps our most familiar type family, Benton Sans is modern and versatile. Capable of doing the heavy lifting and the finer print, this primary typeface should be your go-to pick.

The Georgia Pro Regular typeface is visualized using capital and sentence case letters A to Z, as well as numbers 0 to 9.

The Georgia Pro family

Our secondary typeface is Georgia Pro. As an elegant serif font, the Georgia Pro family adds a nod to IU tradition while serving as an excellent complement to Benton Sans.
