<p>Mike was selected as the 2011-2012 <strong>Distinguished Faculty Research Lecturer.</strong>  This lecture is an annual campus-wide celebration designed to recognize the research achievements of an IU Bloomington faculty member whose research makes important contributions to society. Mike&#8217;s lecture is still to be scheduled, but should occur sometime in April. Previous recipients from Biology include Ellen Ketterson, Eugene Weinberg, John Preer, Howard Gest, and Tony Mahowald.</p>
