University Regional Affairs

IU’s six regional campuses, which account for one third of our enrollment (approximately 35,000 students), are critical to the state’s goal of increasing the number of Hoosiers in the workforce who hold high-quality baccalaureate degrees.

The regional affairs mission of the Office of the Executive Vice President for University Regional Affairs, Planning, and Policy is to facilitate the development of a collective identity and shared mission for these campuses and to heighten the focus on degree completion, affordability, and regional economic development, as outlined in the Regional Campuses of Indiana University Blueprint for Student Attainment.

EVPURAPP will facilitate stronger linkages between the baccalaureate programs on IU’s regional campuses across the state and those of Indiana’s community colleges and other research universities. It will also promote collaborations with IU’s two largest campuses--IU Bloomington and IUPUI--that enable efficiencies through collective administrative functions, shared academic resources, and distributed educational opportunities that leverage common and differentiated resources by using shared curricula and new technologies.
