Building for the Future

The Office of the Executive Vice President for University Regional Affairs, Planning, and Policy builds for the future of Indiana University by ensuring a strong and forward-looking foundation from which the university can pursue its missions of excellence in education, research, and engagement. OEVPURAPP accomplishes its mission by:

  • undertaking university-level planning and reporting,
  • developing and implementing  collective academic planning, standards, and programming for IU’s five regional campuses,
  • overseeing and coordinating public safety, security, and emergency preparedness at Indiana University,
  • serving as a coordination point for general university regulatory and legal compliance, risk management, and adherence to generally accepted privacy principles
  • coordinating relationships with the Indiana Commission on Higher Education and other higher education statewide agencies and institutions,
  • conducting institutional research and reporting for accountability,
  • maintaining and improving the university-wide data systems for student enrollment and financial aid,
  • supporting the academic and faculty relations responsibilities of the president,
  • creating and maintaining an accessible infrastructure for university policies and policy development,
  • providing leadership, management, and coordination of online education on all IU campuses,
  • managing executive recruitment and review.
