STUDENT ORIGIN
Of Indiana University's total enrollment of 92,599, 80 percent (73,406
students) at the time of admission were classified from the State of Indiana. All 92
counties in the State of Indiana are represented. Fifty-six percent of the in-state
enrollment comes from ten counties: Allen, Bartholomew, Elkhart, Floyd, Howard, Lake,
Marion, Monroe, St. Joseph, and Wayne.
All 50 states, Washington, D.C., two U.S. territories, and 161 foreign countries are
represented in Indiana University's out-of-state enrollment of 15,486, almost 17 percent
of the total enrollment. Students from California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New York,
and Ohio account for 40 percent of the total out-of-state enrollment.
