Degrees Conferred

During the 12-month period ending June 30, 1999, Indiana University conferred a total of 14,317 degrees. Baccalaureate degrees numbered 8,851 or 62 percent of the total number awarded, and master's degrees numbered 2,827 or 20 percent of the total. The table below provides a summary of the degrees conferred while the seven additional tables provide greater detail on the degree conferrals by level of program, by campus, and in some cases, by school or division. Degrees conferred by Purdue University are included in the tables. Certificate conferrals include both technical certificates and stand-alone/non-technical certificates, beginning 1998-99. Prior to that, only technical certificates were included.
