STUDENT ORIGIN
Of Indiana University's total enrollment of 91,251, 80 percent (73,009
students) at the time of admission were classified from the State of Indiana. All 92
counties in the State of Indiana are represented. 57 percent of the in-state enrollment
comes from nine counties: Allen, Bartholomew, Elkhart, Floyd, Howard, Lake, Marion,
Monroe, St. Joseph, and Wayne.
All 50 states, Washington, D.C., three U.S. territories, and 163 foreign countries are
represented in Indiana University's out-of-state enrollment of 15,005, 16 percent of the
total enrollment. Students from California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, and
Ohio account for one-third of the total out-of-state enrollment.
