Comparison of Instructional Fees for Main Campuses of Big Ten Institutions

Full-time academic-year instructional fee rates for 1997-98 for Indiana University Bloomington and the main campuses of the other public Big Ten institutions appear in the table below. Northwestern, a private institution, is excluded because its fee rates are not comparable to those of the public institutions.
Indiana University Bloomington's resident undergraduate fee rate of $3,486 ranks fifth, and is $2,196 less than the highest rate, $5,682, at Penn State University, but only $1,073 higher than the lowest rate, $2,413, at the University of Iowa.
