Degrees Conferred

During the 12-month period ending June 30, 1997, Indiana University conferred a total of 14,243 degrees. Baccalaureate degrees numbered 8,750 or 61 percent of the total number awarded, and master's degrees numbered 2,963 or 21 percent of the total.
As is shown in the table below, the largest number of total degrees conferred since 1987-88 occurred in 1995-96. The four additional tables provide greater detail on the degree conferrals by type of program and by campus. Degrees conferred by Purdue University are included in the tables.
