STATE OF INDIANA APPROPRIATIONS
The total appropriation by the State of Indiana for all campuses of
Indiana University for 1997-98 was $461,403,108. The total for Bloomington was
$181,948,650 (39 percent), Indianapolis was $172,349,519 (37 percent), and the regional
campuses was $76,450,501 (24 percent). In addition, $12,504,759 was appropriated for the
following special purposes: the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (for
which Indiana University is the fiscal agent), the Institute for the Study of
Developmental Disabilities, the Chemical Test Program, the Optometry Education Fund, the
Indiana Geological Survey, and the Industrial Research Liason Program.
