STATE APPROPRIATION PER FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENT


State appropriation divided by the number of full-time equivalent student indicates how public support of the instructional mission varies over time. That indicator is adjusted for changes in the value of the dollar as measured by the Consumer Price Index.
For 1996-97, appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $5,597 for the Bloomington campus, an increase of 3.0 percent from $5,434 in 1995-96 in 1996-97 dollars.
For the Indianapolis campus, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student for the Health Division is $25,094, up 4.68 percent from the support level of $23,972 in 1995-96. For the General Academic Division, it is $5,007, down 2.91 percent from $5,157 in 1995-96.
For the regional campuses, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $4,933, an increase of 2.46 percent from $4,815 in 1995-96. The appropriation and full-time equivalent student for Purdue University at Fort Wayne are included with the regional campuses of Indiana University.
