STUDENT ORIGIN


Of Indiana University's total enrollment of 90,521, 80 percent (72,753 students) at the time of admission were classified from the State of Indiana. All 92 counties in the State of Indiana are represented. Fifty-eight percent of the in-state enrollment comes from nine counties: Allen, Clark, Elkhart, Hamilton, Howard, Lake, Marion, Monroe, and St. Joseph.

All 50 states, Washington, D.C., three U.S. territories, and 158 foreign countries are represented in Indiana University's out-of-state enrollment of 14,517, 16 percent of the total enrollment. Students from Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and New York account for one-third of the total out-of-state enrollment.
