NUMBER OF FACULTY


The primary responsibility for instruction resides with the faculty. Table II below gives the number of persons appointed on a full-time basis and holding faculty or lecturer rank for the current and preceding four years. The number of part-time faculty as well as total FTE is shown for 1996-97.
Table II excludes university librarians. The number of librarians, by campus, in the Fall of 1996 is shown in Table I.
