State Appropriations per FTE Student

State appropriations divided by the number of full-time equivalent students indicates how public support of the instructional mission varies over time. That indicator is adjusted for changed in the value of the dollar as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

For 2004-05, appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $6,085 for Bloomington campus, an increase of 1.4 percent from $6,001 in 2003-04 in 2004-05 dollars.

For the IUPUI campus, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student for the Health Division is $30,989, down 8.2 percent in real terms from 2003-04. For the General Academic Division, it is $5,887, down 0.2 percent from $5,899 in 2003-04 in 2004-05 dollars.

For the regional campuses, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $6,572, a decrease of 2.5 percent from $6,742 in 2003-04. The appropriation per full-time equivalent student for Purdue University at Fort Wayne is included in the regional campuses of Indiana University.
