CREDIT HOUR ENROLLMENT          
                 
In addition to indicating a student's progress toward fulfilling degree requirements, credit hour enrollment in the aggregate provides
an index of the institutional instructional activity.  Credit hour enrollment for the fall semesters 1999-00 through 2003-04 is shown by campus in
the table below.
For fall semester 2003-04 total credit hour enrollment was 1,119,493, surpassing one million credit hours for the sixth time with a 1.6%
increase over last year and establishing a new record.
Although the Bloomington campus headcount enrollment accounts for only 38.9 percent of total headcount enrollment, its share of the
credit hour enrollment is 46.4 percent.  The difference results from the large percentage of full-time students enrolled on the Bloomington campus.
