On behalf of IU Alumni Relations, the alumni records department at
the DeVault Alumni Center is the official keeper |

of records for alumni, both members of the Indiana
University Alumni Association (IUAA) and nonmembers. The
office |
|
maintains biographical data about the
university's graduates, some former students, and friends (donors)
in the Alumni/ |
|
Foundation Information System (A/FIS).
Few colleges and universities in the nation have more living
graduates than IU's |
|
450,000.
Likewise, with more than 860,000 active records for alumni
(graduates and former students of record) friends, |
|
parents, corporations, and foundations, the A/FIS database
ranks among the largest for the nation's colleges and universities. |
|
More than 95% of the records are addressable. Each year, the
office updates hundreds of thousands of records with new |
|
address, employment, and university-related information for the
benefit of Indiana University. |
