THE LIBRARIES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY
| The Indiana University Library System includes the libraries on the Bloomington campus, the IUPUI campus, and the six other | ||||||||
| campuses. As the largest library system in Indiana, it serves the faculty, students, and staff of Indiana University, all citizens of Indiana, and | ||||||||
| scholars from around the nation and the world. | ||||||||
| The chart below summarizes the number of books and bound journals held by each campus. As of June 30, 2002, the | ||||||||
| 6,510,553 volumes held by the Bloomington campus libraries made up 71 percent of the total system's holdings. The IUPUI campus | ||||||||
| housed 15 percent of the entire collection, and the other campuses held 14 percent of the collection. Between 1996 and 2002, the | ||||||||
| holdings of the total system increased by 977,736 volumes, an increase of approximately 12 percent. | ||||||||
