Team Lead Lifetime Engagement - PA4IT
Serves as technical team lead for Lifetime Engagement (LE) systems including Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software products such as Talisma CRM and Salesforce.com and Digital Marketing and Communication products such as ExactTarget, WhatCounts and a variety of other communication tools.
Assists Project Manager and Functional Chief with organizing and assigning projects to technical staff and ensuring successful implementation and ongoing delivery of all LE projects. Responsible for overseeing systems development projects as directed by the management team including functionality related to Interactions Management, Campaign Management, Event Management, Case Management, Chat, Telephony Integration, e-distribution, Social Media integration and other emerging multi-channel functionality in support of Student Recruitment, Student Retention, Constituent Support, Engagement and Communication activities across the institution. Also serves as the senior technical architect for cloud and on premise solutions; and responsible for the development and enforcement of technical standards and strategies within the CRM environment. Leads the coordination of data and system integration activities with other UITS and University development teams.
Provides senior technical leadership in the design and development of robust and reliable enterprise-scale web applications. Works directly with customers to gather and document detailed requirements needed to establish viable solutions and designs to meet their business needs. Works with technical staff to perform detailed studies, design solutions, present alternatives, solicit functional approval, develop systems and system integrations, design and configure vended solutions, evaluate and recommend third party products, estimates effort, and implement all solutions within this space.
Collaborates with vendor partners on joint development, design and evaluation of emerging products; and develops standards and best practices using web developing technologies and mentors developers. Plans and leads management of application releases; and establishes priorities for tasks to ensure development and implementation of projects happen on time. Oversees analysts and programmers and provides direction and guidance to ensure compliance with standards and overall strategic goals and priorities. Establishes and coordinates development timelines and deliverables; and ensures that user documentation is prepared and maintained.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressive computing experience including at least four years of systems development and/or system administration experience in a large complex computing environment.
A combination of related education and experience may be considered at a 2:1 ratio.
Demonstrated abilities in technical leadership and development including excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for working collaboratively within a diverse University community, including working across multiple subject areas within the institution. Experience must include systems analysis, systems design, systems development, estimating enterprise software development projects; and excellent understanding of, and experience with developing enterprise-level applications using Apex, Java, .Net, VisualForce, C++, C, VB.NET, or similar languages. Experience with relational database design; and experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
Demonstrated abilities in project plan management and development, including strong team building, problem solving, decision making, and motivational skills; and ability to work collaboratively within a complex IT environment, across multiple subject areas. Demonstrated ability to assume technical leadership for information system working at the highest level of technical complexity with a high level of accuracy, dependability, and responsibility. Strong analytical and customer service skills; and enthusiasm for new technologies.
