Systems Manager - PA4IT

Job Summary:Seeking a highly creative and dynamic thinker to serve as a key Systems Manager for the institution's Kuali Student Project.

Acts as a central resource on a multifaceted team, working closely with clients within the institution and across the Kuali Student (KS) community source project to deliver a bold, next generation, student service system.

Serves as subject matter expert and functional leader for the design and development of the new student system; and possess a comprehensive and deep understanding of student business processes, as well as, a broad understanding of Indiana University.s academic and administrative policies and practices.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in analytic or computer-related field and five years of experience working in higher education student systems.

Combinations of related education and experience will be considered.

Demonstrable experience in analyzing complex problems and producing concrete, actionable solutions; and experience leading detailed requirements and specification activities. Experience in resolving highly complex integration issues involving multiple technologies and business areas; and demonstrated knowledge of unit and/or Central office business and administrative processes or relevant higher education experience.

Excellent oral, written and listening skills, including ability to interpret complex environments and communicate with stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Demonstrated technical, analytical and independent problem-solving ability in conjunction with effective leadership; and effective time management skills with an ability to deliver consistently high quality work even in the face of changing priorities.

Ability to abstract institutionally focused business problems in order to support the development of new and more efficient solutions needed to support the vision of a next generation student system. Strong analytical skills; ability to take business requirements and abstract them into models and concepts; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for working collaboratively and strategically within a diverse environment.
