Principal Telepresence Engineer - PA4IT
Works independently to lead the effort at the Global Research Network Operations Center (GlobalNOC) to design and support Internet2.s national and international Cisco Telepresence exchange and video services. Provides highly specialized technical expertise in the architecture, design and evaluation of video collaboration solutions for the GlobalNOC organization. Advises Internet2 executives and technical staff on evolution of video services.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in scientific or technical field and five years of experience in video collaboration support, with experience in Cisco Telepresence technologies, and record of increasing responsibility.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Experience with engineering, planning, and evolution of video services; and solid understanding of basic IP networking as it relates to video. Understanding of E.164 standard; and articulate with good writing and speaking skills.
Preferred: Master's degree; skill with Cisco Conductor; knowledge of Cisco MCUs, particularly including 8710; ability to provision PSTN through Cisco CUBE.
