Manager Financial Services - PA3AD

Manages the financial operations of University Information Technology Services, a multi-campus organization with over $100 million in annual budget consisting of general, student technology fee, service/auxiliary, special state appropriations and contract and grant funds. Manages functions and staff in purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, shipping and receiving and capital assets; and serves as departmental final approver for financial transactions including budget changes or transfers, requisitions, remittances, invoicing and other financial functions as needed.

Prepares and analyzes budgets; analyzes and formally interprets monthly financial reports for senior management; determines and proposes any required correction actions; ensures implementation; and monitors future performance. Provides day-to-day budget guidance to associate vice presidents, directors, officers and managers and assists them in the formulation or review of business plans and funding models; and manages staff including evaluating performance and performing various personnel actions.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor degree in business, accounting, or related field, five years of relevant work experience in various facets of business operations including the review and formulation of auditable financial policies and procedures, two years of demonstrated supervisory experience performing a variety of personnel actions, and one year of experience in utilization and troubleshooting of automated accounting systems.

Advanced knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and other contemporary financial applications for data organization, analysis, and presentation; and knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present and train on financial information to non-financial audiences. Ability to lead multiple departmental projects; strong organizational and excellent project management skills; and detail oriented, self-motivated, professional, and customer service oriented.

Preferred: CPA or MBA.
