Position Available: IT Training Classroom Assistant - Temporary
Assist IT Training workshop participants in resolving problems during a variety of instructor-led training workshops on software commonly used at IU.
A professional focus on proactively providing outstanding customer service. At least one year experience in providing computer support or training assistance. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent ability to interact effectively and courteously with a wide variety of participants at all levels of technical expertise.
Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office applications is required: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with any of the following applications and technologies is a major plus: graphics and desktop publishing applications (Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Flash, or InDesign), Web design applications and languages (Dreamweaver, XHTML and CSS, XML), audio/video editing (MovieMaker, Premiere and Soundbooth), database applications and languages (Microsoft Access, SQL), and other technologies like Oncourse, Unix, SPSS, Perl/CGI and Python.
Position details: This position is typically 10-20 hours/week, and work is usually completed in 4-hour time blocks. Hours are flexible with some evening and weekend work required.
Pay is $8-9 per hour depending on experience. A one-year commitment is requested. Please include resume and cover letter.
