Position Available: IT Support Specialist, CACR/CLEAR-Temporary Under general supervision provide technical support services to staff of the Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research and CLEAR Health Information. Duties include setting up desktop computers and printers, software installation, troubleshooting operating system and application software issues, performing general maintenance on computer equipment, establishing a backup procedure for the centers, and setting up shared networking resources. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The position requires approximately 20 hours weekly with starting pay based on qualifications.
Required education and skills: High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required; college computer-related courses or computer-related degree highly desired. Experience using, teaching others to use, and/or troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS. Self-motivated and dependable. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Desired skills: Familiarity with the computing and networking environment at Indiana University. Experience using, teaching others to use, and troubleshooting most of the following software: MS Office, Outlook, FireFox, Lync, Internet Explorer, Safari, anti-virus software, with installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting PC and Mac hardware, software and operating systems
