HELPNet Operator-IUPUI (Two positions open)
HELPnet Technology Services of UITS is looking for exceptional people to provide operator support for the HELPnet Client Support Dispatch. We are willing to train motivated and excited individuals who are committed to proving excellent customer service during every single contact. The starting wage is $10.00 per hour with a raise to $10.50 after passing the 90 day probationary period. Duties for all operators include, but are not limited to: fielding telephone calls and email coming into HELPnet, determining problem, and then connecting HELPnet customers needing assistance with HELPnet technician that can help. Skills that will be developed or improved in this position include problem solving, technical knowledge, customer service relations, ability to work in a team, and telecommunications.
Operators are required to commit to work at least a full calendar year with no more than 1,000 hours per year (20 hours per week) during HELPnet peak business hours of M-Th 8-5 pm; Friday 8-12 PM. Schedules are set on a semester basis.
Applicants must be friendly with excellent communications skills and are required to have prior customer service experience, ability to speak English clearly and well, and ability to work as a member of a team. Aptitude and excitement for technology is a plus.
