Human Resources Coordinator - PA2AD

Provide daily management of the TCC (Technology Center Consulting) staff comprised of 50 computer consultants who staff and maintain 30 computer labs on the IUPUI campus. Work with departmental liaisons to assess and meet their staffing needs. Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling. Manage performance, disciplinary actions and terminations of the hourly student computer consultant staff following a prescribed plan. Participate actively on an administrative team advising on policy and procedures as they pertain to the consulting staff.

Required: Bachelor degree from an accredited institution, plus at least 1 year of human resources experience and experience managing people including hiring and firing. Directly related and progressively more responsible work experience may be substituted at a 2:1 ratio.

Demonstrated competence through a record of success that includes 1-2 years of experience managing and supervising employees. Working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows operating systems and technical expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite applications required. Familiarity with web based applications and HTML required. A strong user support background and effective interpersonal skills required. Excellent communications skills, speaking, listening, and contending; teamwork; analytical skills for evaluating and interpreting hiring and staffing trends; and judgment skills required.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and constantly changing demands is needed. Able to work effectively in a multitasking environment is very helpful.
