Computer Coordinator - TE08
Description and Responsibilities:
The Computer Coordinator provides a wide range of expert consulting to faculty, staff and students of the IU and Ivy Tech campuses.
Some key duties and responsibilities include: Resolve problems which encompass all major service areas within UITS and IU and Ivy Tech university-wide systems; as necessary, refer problems to the appropriate resources; provide technical support to specialized applications for client support to faculty, students and staff, university departments and clients from other inter-departmental groups; document and track calls received, and follow-up with clients until a satisfactory resolution is reached; submit and maintain the knowledge database; directly supervise hourly staff in their daily activities and services of the Support Center; provide expertise and leadership in the technical development of hourly help desk staff in the Support Center.
Required: Associate degree in computer science, computer systems technology, or a closely related field, plus 2 years of computing support experience. Directly related work experience may be substituted at a ratio of two years of progressively more responsible experience for each year of education.
Macintosh and Windows operating systems; Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Indiana University central systems: E-mail, Oncourse, OneStart, IU List, networking, etc.
