Reports: Standard

University Institutional Research and Reporting (UIRR) is responsible for producing official university reports on admissions, enrollment, retention, graduation rates, degree completions, and financial aid for every Indiana University campus.

IU Fact Book

The Indiana University Fact Book is a structured presentation of information about the university that is frequently requested by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others.

Admissions Point-in-Cycle

An interactive display of “point in cycle” progress through the upcoming fall semester admissions process. Begins in the spring and is updated until the census date is reached in early September. In the fall of 2009, the “College GO” program waived application fees for Indiana students and have artificially inflated the 2010 numbers. This report will be updated periodically; the frequency of new reports will become weekly as we enter the summer months.

Beginner Profile

These reports provide demographic information and test scores for the students new to the university who make up the incoming cohort for retention and graduation rates reporting. The figures reflect all beginners and are used for a variety of external reports.

Degree Completions

The completions report reflects the degree conferrals in a given fiscal year (July 1–June 30) and is the basis for our reporting to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). As such, Purdue University degrees granted at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) are included in our totals and IUPUI campus views.

The “Historic Degrees Conferred” report does not contain the totals of Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) and Statewide Technology (SWT) degrees awarded through Purdue University. The number of IPFW and SWT degree figures can be found in our Fact Book.

Enrollment

University Research and Reporting produces a number of internal and official enrollment reports for each semester. The enrollment information includes Census Study Reports, Enrollment Projections, Enrollment Reports, and the Web Enrollment Tool.

Financial Aid

Financial aid reports compile data from the institution’s Indiana Commission for Higher Education Student Information System (ICHE SIS) submission of students enrolled in any of the four semesters comprising a fiscal year (Fall, Spring, and Summer I and II).

Graduation Rates

These reports reflect the graduation rates for incoming, full-time undergraduate students based upon their year of entry into the university.

Retention

Our retention reports track a cohort from the first to the second semester and from the first to the second year. Reports include data from all IU campuses and compare persistence rates on a variety of characteristics.
