Privacy Rooms for Nursing Mothers on the Bloomington Campus
Indiana University currently provides 14 privacy rooms to support Academic, Staff, and Students who are breastfeeding mothers. Each room is secure, clean, and easy to use. The University strives to add more rooms at a variety of locations on campus. Contact the Work-Life Balance Coordinator at 855-7903 for more information or to provide updates on locations.

|Chemistry Building||A702||Email and request access to the Google calendar. Users should sign up for 30 minute blocks of time on the hour or half hour. Once on the calendar, go to the Chemistry Business Office (C115) and request a key for room A702.|
|Cyberinfrastructure Building (CIB)||2nd floor, Wing A, Room 251||UITS employees may reserve the room through the Outlook calendar (BL-UITS-CIB-Mother Room). The CIB is secure, non UITS employees would need to check in with the front desk to be escorted to the room. Contact Deb Allmayer at with any questions or concerns.|
|Franklin Hall||Room 201 (room located through a women’s restroom on the 2nd floor)||No Key is required—it is lockable from the inside. The room can be difficult to find. Contact Kristin Martindale at for assistance with locating the room and learning about the features offered in it.|
|Global & International Studies Building||Room 0026||The room has an indicator lock that shows if the space is occupied. Scheduling assistance is available by contacting|
|Indiana Memorial Union (IMU)||Separate room located inside the women's restroom (M055A) between Sugar & Spice and the Frangipani Room||Obtain an access code from the IMU directors office room M050.|
|The Innovation Center||Room IC 232||A key is available at the reception desk across the hall at the Innovation Center in the Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR), and one is stored at the CIB reception desk as well.
Reservations for the room are done through Outlook. Use the scheduling assistant to access it by either its resource name or its display name, below.

There is a trigger lock capability on the inside of the door that allows one to lock the door while also alerting others that the room is occupied by a red padlock symbol. The padlock symbol is chrome if the room is available.

|Myers Hall||Room 060||Reservations for the room are made through the biology Google calendar. Contact Irene Newton ( ) to be added to the group and reserve a time. A key card is required to access the room. To obtain a key card, provide a scan or copy of the front of your IU ID card to Steve Todd ( ). Any concerns about using the room can be directed to Irene Newton.|
|Poplars Building||Room 303||Obtain an access code from the front desk of the Bursar or Human Resources on the main floor.|

|Student Central on Union||Room 103||Obtain an access code from the receptionist at Student Central. The room can be also be scheduled on Outlook and is titled “OEM Privacy Rm 103”|

|Wells Library||2nd floor of East Tower, Room 258||Requires a key by request from the Staff at the Service Desk of Government Information, Microforms and Statistical Services (GIMSS). From the Wells Library lobby, take the up escalator to the 2nd floor. GIMSS is located through the set of doors on the left at the top of the escalator.|
|Wildermuth Intramural Center||Main level south end, Room 193F||This is also a Family or Private changing space. It is locked at all times and requires a key to access. A short term key can be signed out at the Wildermuth Member Services office in the corner of the Fieldhouse. Key and room use instructions provided there. Key should be returned after each use.|
