Job Title and Grade: Program Assistant / SSOC

This is program-related support work that includes serving as an IU ambassador and resource to program participants. Provides administrative support for program activities.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Greets students and/or program participants; may assist with program check-in and check-out.
Provides directions, support and information to program participants.
Assists with daily scheduling, training, and gathering program feedback.
Coordinates social activities, ice breakers or program activities.
May prepare and disseminate handouts, PowerPoint presentations, or other program materials.
May perform administrative duties such as attending a front desk or delivering mail.
May serve as dorm chaperone, conduct room checks, and/or enforce lights out.
May serve as on-call resource for emergencies.
May support academic endeavors by organizing study sessions and discussing assignments.
May promote co-curricular or extra-curricular programs that encourage engagement and showcase IU’s resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communications skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for program.
Must be knowledgeable about Indiana University’s campus, programs and policies.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: No experience required.
