This is administrative and clerical performing a variety of non-routine tasks related to class registration and schedule preparation.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises the registration process; sets up facility so students can use the computerized system; monitors the registration process and resolves any discrepancies and unique situations .
Assists in the evaluation and approval of requests for assignment of classrooms and instructional facilities; resolves any conflicting requests; and supervises the process of validating any changes or updates; constructs the Master Job Calendar for computer program.
Interviews, hires, schedules, trains, and supervises student temporary employees; monitors student employees' work for accuracy; and prepares and processes personnel forms and payroll records; assists in setting and managing office priorities.
Assists in the preparation and production of the class schedule and student information handouts; obtains updated materials for publications; reviews and processes updates for publications;
Evaluates student registration instructions and prepares registration timetables to manage traffic flow; processes student information for use in publications.
Monitors and evaluates changes in class schedule after the schedule is printed; supervises conflicting requests; and notifies scheduling officers of changes.
Responds to phone, mail, and electronic inquiries from students, faculty, and staff regarding procedures for registration, waitlist, schedule adjustment, and late schedule adjustment.
Serves as resource person for individuals within department; provides guidance and advice on procedural guidelines on registration activities and any problems that may arise.
Assists in the implementation of systems designed to support registration activities.

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Three years experience in high volume service-oriented environment.
