This is clerical work performing a variety of tasks related to the admissions process following well-established guidelines.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Separates and sorts enrollment materials, notes any change of address, and pulls any incomplete applications.
Processes any transfers, enters new data into computer, and exchanges new materials (study guides, books, etc.) for materials in student's possession.
Collects and processes bad checks received by department.
Processes credit card receipts, obtains approvals, contacts students regarding incorrect numbers or declines, and balance out totals.
Processes and mails monthly balance due statements.
Prepares duplicate orders for learning guides and other materials for students who have not received first shipment.
Prepares manual receipt for materials purchased without enrollment.
Researches for new addresses on returned mail.
Provides back up at front desk.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment.
Knowledge of computer and database/word processing software.
Good communications skills.
Ability to deal with a wide range of people.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year of office experience.
