This is administrative and clerical work performing a variety of non-routine tasks related to the structuring and maintenance of databases.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Develops database structures and maintains created databases; organizes data in manner best suited to meet University needs and requirements.
Develops summaries, mailing lists, and other reports using information stored in databases.
Assists in the creation of software; installs software applications.
Creates individualized databases for specialized use.
Responds to requests for database information retrieval.
Processes all necessary paperwork and forms relating to database files.
Performs clerical and administrative tasks such as answering phones, maintaining files, and scheduling appointments on a as needed basis.
May develop and produce informational guides relating to databases.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of in database design and manipulation.
Good organizational skills.
Excellent communications skills.
Ability to accurately and efficiently review and analyze detailed information.
Education: High school diploma or a GED.
Experience: Two years experience working with computer database software.
