This is skilled work monitoring an energy management system.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors and controls a variety of computerized electrical and mechanical systems controlling utilities; maintains operating logs; records readings; evaluates conditions; diagnoses problems.
Contacts appropriate craft to resolve problems; explains problem and severity of difficulty; makes recommendation of priority.
Answers phone; takes emergency calls and service requests from building users.
Maintains radio and pager contact with night operations and other departments.
Gathers and collates data for reports and summaries; prepares service request tickets; keeps daily logs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of campus operations.
Knowledge of a variety of crafts involved in facility and physical plan maintenance.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to prepare records and reports.
Ability to exercise independent judgement.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year building maintenance experience.
