Job Title and Grade: Supplies Coordinator / SSOE

This is non-routine administrative and clerical work related to requisitioning, inventory control, and materials maintenance.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors stock to ensure adequate inventory; begins purchasing/bids procedures on items to be reordered; contacts vendors for availability and cost.
Oversees and coordinates the receipt, check-in, tagging, and data entry of goods and materials received; ensures distribution to proper location.
Reviews input of data and audits system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Resolves discrepancies regarding purchase orders, vendor invoicing/pricing, and goods received.
Maintains necessary records on hazardous and/or controlled materials and substances; ensures proper storage of hazardous and /or controlled materials and substances.
Compiles data and prepares any necessary reports.
Assists in training staff in the policies and procedures involved in receiving and storage of materials.
Prepares shipments for delivery; determines proper transport system for shipment.
Responds to inquiries from staff and out-side sources regarding policies and procedures.
Monitors supply inventory and orders as necessary.
Supervises any support staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of computer and database software.
Good communications skills.
Ability to work with a wide range of people.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year of inventory control experience.
