This is administrative service work related to coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of a large food service facility.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees food service facility; ensures meals produced in timely, appetizing, and sanitary manner; monitors set-up of facility and food quality.
Supervises, trains, and schedules employees; monitors and evaluates job performance; maintains attendance records and processes payroll forms.
Acts as liaison between, customers and management, obtaining feedback and suggestions from customers.
Plans, organizes, and oversees special events for the facility.
Develops marketing strategy and prepares marketing materials to promote the food facility.
Maintains food production records and prepares any needed reports; prepares daily sells and transaction reports.
Oversees cash handling; maintains safe; cashes out cashiers; does reconciliations and audits; prepares deposits.
Handles any problems that may arise.
Places and receives in-coming orders of merchandise.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of computers and database/spreadsheet/word processing software.
Knowledge of food service/sanitation techniques.
Knowledge of hazardous chemicals handling techniques.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to work with wide range of people.
Ability to effectively communicate goals and objectives.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Food Handling or Food Service Sanitation Certificate may be required.
Experience: Two years experience in commercial food preparation facility.
