When an employee changes positions and...

  1. The employee’s new position has a different Salary Plan than the current position (for example, CL to PA); complete the Transfer Employee E-Doc.
  2. The employee moves from one position to another position with the same job level in the same or different job family (3AD to 3IT, or 3RS to 3RS); complete the Transfer Employee E-Doc selecting LTS (Lateral Transfer within Staff) action reason. The position may be in the same or a different RC.
  3. The employee moves from one position to another position that is assigned a higher/lower job level in the same or different job family (2SS to 3AD, or 3FC to 2FC); complete the Promotion or Demotion E-Doc.
  4. The employee moves either from or to a position in the job families of XX, HE, or CH (job families without job levels); complete the Transfer Employee E-Doc selecting LTS (Lateral Transfer within Staff) action reason.
  5. The employee is going from a Salary Plan of HR (Regular Hourly) to a Staff Biweekly or Staff Monthly position; complete the Terminate Employee E-Doc and then the Hire Employee E-Doc.
  6. The employee’s current position has a Salary Plan of HP (Hourly PERF) and is going to a Staff Biweekly or Staff Monthly position; complete the Transfer Employee E-Doc.
