BIOGRAPHY
Jill Strickland Ruckelshaus is a national leader in the advancement of women's roles in society, admired by everyone who knows her, for her faith, hope and love for humanity.

Jill began as a campus leader at Indiana University before heading to graduate school at Harvard, and then taught English. When Jill and her husband entered the political scene, they quickly became one of the most visible and influential family teams in the nation's capital. Her strong convictions and calm, rational manner brought her to the forefront of the arena for women's rights.

Jill was named Assistant to the President for Women's Affairs in the Nixon administration, a member and vice president of the United States Commission on Civil Rights, and presiding officer for the International Women's Year Commission, and won applause from both liberals and conservatives.
