BIOGRAPHY
Donald Weaver earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Indiana University in 1961. Even then, he had a vision of what Indiana University should be, and the knowledge to ensure that his vision for the school came to be quickly followed. Don contributed to Indiana University in many ways during his 43 years of service, ranging from working to advance the University's interests in state government to his many years of service as a timekeeper for the Little 500 bicycle race, and serving as director of the Office of State Relations.

Before becoming director of Indiana University's Office of State Relations, Don was the University Facilities Management & Planning Director (1964-89), an analyst for the University Budget Office (1963-64), and an analyst for the University Systems & Methods (1961-63). Don's work at Indiana University was recognized with the presentation of the E. Ross Bartley Award, the university's highest staff honor.

In addition to his work at Indiana University, Don is actively involved in the Bloomington community by volunteering his service to the Faith Lutheran Church, the Boys and Girls Club, the IU Credit Union, Bloomington Little League, and the annual North-South All Star football game. His abilities are clearly recognized outside the Bloomington community; he was appointed to the Midwest Commission for Higher Education, an organization devoted to improving the quality of higher education. Don retired from IU in 2003.
