Lori K. Sudderth received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. She then earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Sudderth is a Professor of Sociology and, as of 2005, the Director of the Criminal Justice Program at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.
