BIOGRAPHY
Foster Q. Gresham was an alumnus of Indiana University who served as a state legislator, postmaster General and Secretary of Treasury under President Authur, Secretary of State under President Cleveland and Colonel and Brigadeer General in the Civil War. He received an honorary doctorate from IU in 1883. A residence hall dining facility at IU Bloomington is named in his memory.
