BIOGRAPHY
Claudia Crump, retired professor emerita of education at IUS and co-founder of the school’s Center for Cultural Resources, was honored November 15, at the 2008 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner.
Crump made Indiana her home in 1952 when she began her first teaching job in Charlestown. She then taught thousands of teachers at IUS for a quarter-century before retiring.
Crump works with Trail Heritage Foundation and the Indiana Lewis and Clark Foundation. She is a member of the New Albany Business Professional Women’s Organization and is the international component chair for the CHOICES Program, which is designed to support and motivate fifth-grade girls in the New Albany area.
