BIOGRAPHY
Brenda L. Lyon DNS, FAAN is a Professor in the Adult Health Department at Indiana University School of Nursing and is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Nursing and the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Lyon has taught in the Adult Health CNS program at IU since 1971. She had a private practice as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist in treating stress-related physical illnesses for over 25 years.

In addition to serving in leadership roles in state, regional and national nursing organizations she is a founder and past President of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. She has authored over 45 articles and book chapters on the topics of stress, CNS practice and regulation of CNS practice.
