BIOGRAPHY
Madelyn Pugh Davis was an exceedingly accomplished student leader and editor of the Daily Student, honoring IU with her subsequently successful professional career. Her creative gifts and imagination were employed in script-writing for radio, television and motion pictures, bringing laughter and entertainment to a boundless audience.
Davis was very generous with her time and talents, sharing her secrets and skills with the University's production alumni programs. Her professional associations elected her to membership on their boards, and both local and national organizations have singled her out for recognition. Davis was nominated twice for an Emmy award, and also received a “Woman of the Year” award.
