Academic Program Development
OverviewThe process of academic program development is built around the process required for the proposal and implementation of new degree programs, but also includes programs and initiatives at various other levels. This process is represented relationally in the Required Approvals Matrix, and a detailed description of the process of New Degree Proposals is available HERE, or by clicking the link at the left. Our goal is that this section has all information and forms necessary for faculty and departments to initiate the process verify the progression of program proposals. As a basic overview, listed below are types of proposals considered under this process, as well as the general approvals pathway from the department to the state. Types of Program Approvals
The Path of Program ApprovalThe approvals process follows a prescribed path in order to assure that the appropriate resources are available and that any new programs are in line with the mission of the particular campus.
